BR-01 - Fast lanes - Section 4A

BR-01 serves as both a pedestrian and vehicle bridge, serving as the new southern entrance to the Wingate Institute and functioning as a directional turnaround interchange.
The bridge spans over Rd. 2 and incorporates precast pre-stressed U girders, complemented by a cast-in-situ topping. This construction method allows for the seamless flow of Rd. 2 traffic during the installation process.
The bridge’s design prioritizes substructure flexibility in seismic analysis, leading to the efficient use of resources. This approach avoids unnecessary expenses on expensive bearings and concrete portions, benefiting the contractor.
The structural calculations for the bridge were meticulously executed using Sofistik FEM software, taking into consideration all construction stages.
